Dead fish cover 20-miles of Arkansas River, KTHV Little Rock, Arkansas, January 2, 2010:

Arkansas Game & Fish is trying to figure out why one-hundred thousand fish in Northwest Arkansas turned up dead. They were found along a 20-mile stretch between the Ozark dam and Highway 109 bridge, that’s in Franklin County. …

Keith Stephens with the Game and Fish explains… “We’ll have raccoon and birds and things like that will take care of it so there is really no clean up, it’s really too big. …” …

So…without knowing what killed them – the raccoons etc will take care of the clean up??? This is completely insane.
Who makes these decisions? Will we no have more dead birds and crazed mutaant scavengers? With thought processes like this – we simply don’t deserve this beautiful planet.

Horrifying. I reported an injured dog I saw on the tollway at rush hour today, but the thought of MILLIONS, UPON MILLIONS of critters being killed like this from the Gulf up the Atlantic is impossible to fathom. I saw how that dog was suffering, but the police could not save him… Don’t think all these important sea critters don’t feel pain and don’t want to live or deserve to live any less than you do! That’s all.
