In the long term, the people will be left to suffer (and perhaps die) on their own....
BP won't care and Washington will be too busy waging more wars in the Middle East.
The long-term effects of the dispersant is totally BP's responsibility they where first of all told not to use corexit and when they were given the go ahead they went far beyond what the coast guard and EPA allowed them to use. BP made the mess in the gulf they are criminally responsible for all the short and long term effects of there actions end of story.
