Man raising money for heart surgery, Panama City News Herald, January 07, 2011:

The 25-year-old Bayou George resident was born with a hole in his heart...

His wisdom teeth... became impacted and infected.

Then the infection spread to his heart. He now requires heart surgery to treat the bacterial endocarditist and the hole in his heart, which has grown with the illness, said his mother... “If he doesn’t have it, he will die,” she said. ...

After the disaster, he worked cleanup for BP. He started feeling sick in September and hasn’t been able to work since.

How you can help:

[Judi] Gharst said Stinson's surgeon recommended earlier this week he undergo the surgery at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, but the hospital there asked them to pay $10,000 by Monday for the operation. If he can’t have the surgery there, he will have it done locally.
