Cavnar on “Mini Earthquake” that would “rip open” well: Seeps 100 meters away “really concern me” (MSNBC)

Oil leaking from cap on ruptured well, MSNBC, July 19, 2010 at 8:05pm:

MSNBC: Is it possible we face some sort of mini earthquake down there in that surface that would rip open, in effect rip open the well to even greater exposure than we have already seen?

BOB CAVNAR, Oil and gas industry expert: You know, these seeps that the admiral talked about within 100 meters of the well concern me some... The ones close really concern me.

And there is a possibility, if you look at the well diagram which is complicated and i won't get into it. There is a path for oil and gas to get out into the sub strata. And I'm concerned about that. I'm more concerned about the wellhead integrity itself. I think there is an issue there.
