Pointe-Au-Chien still struggling with impact from oil, WWL-TV, October 21, 2010:
Transcript Excerpts
Two months ago, [Russell] Dardar travelled 3,500 miles from Pointe-Au-Chien [Louisiana] to Valdez, Alaska, to learn about the impacts still occurring from the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. He arrived nervous, and after spending days talking to Alaskan fishermen and officials, left worried. ...
"...All the stories that they said, it looks like it's going to be the same thing over here." ...
"They need to be worried, because it is going to affect not just us on the immediate coast. It is going to keep going further and further in.”
“Take a good picture, and come back the following year, and see what it looks like."
