Whether or not the dispersed oil, certainly common sense tells you that if there's more oil in the system there's a potential for more of it to cause damage.
There's also a much greater potential for it to biodegrade, which is a good thing, as long as it doesn't mean we're growing a different ecosystem, and if we do, that it can recover.
