Feds said workers could only dig 3 INCHES looking for oil, can now go 6 inches


Oil spill response remains a daily affair on islands, Mississippi Press, December 03, 2010:

[Melvin Castillo, unified command operations director for Mississippi] said the National Park Service approved cleaning to a depth of six inches. The previous depth had been three inches, he said.

    What the hell kind of order "command" is that? That's about like my wife telling me to clean only a 3 inch swath when doing house windows.(I hate to clean windows)
    Leave it to our FED to issue some nonsensical #@*#*& B.S.in this time of crisis. Anyone have a ruler?
