*CONFIRMED* Chemist: That’s BP oil on Southwest Florida beach — “Should put to rest any doubt” over origin of 173 ppm oil found in sand near Sarasota

Comparison with BP-Macondo, Control Sample Chromatogram, Analytical Chemical Testing Laboratory, Inc.,  November 8, 2010:

The compared sample is a fingerprint MATCH

Comments by chemist Bob Naman regarding the chromatogram, via Testing the Water Citizen's Initiative:

[It] clearly confirmed a match and is highly accurate and should put to rest any doubt that the oil that we found was 'sunscreen', 'motor oil', or any other form of 'naturally present' contaminant.

  • Big Turd May Prove To Be From Recent Godzilla Rampage
    by johanna faust.

a response to peculiarities of journalism characteristic of situations such as the Reader may recognize

Forensic analysis conducted on the stadium-sized turd discovered filling Center Park in the wake of Godzilla's recent rampage through downtown Metropolis has demonstrated, nearly conclusively, that the gigantic lizard may well indeed have been the culprit. Godzilla himself has said repeatedly that he does not defecate, and cites local stray dogs as possible sources. While it is true that a small percentage of the extensive and costly labwork, funded by the Metro Dept. of Parks and Recreation, remains inconclusive, it appears that enough evidence has been gathered to cast doubt on the lizard's claims.

thank you very much. feel free to repost, giving credit. original here.

  • xdrfox:: i wrote to the sarasota bird people -- because i thought they really ought to check to see if it was nickel or vanadium poisoning. nickel causes symptoms similar to lead poisoning (which was the reason birds were falling out of the sky convulsing in Australia a few years back). the uscg was looking into vanadium poisoning (see "Vanadium Toxicity: A Potentially Unrecognized Hazard to Waterfowl?" uscs, 2003).

see alexander higgins' blog exposing epa lies. his research indicates that vanadium and nickel levels are "off the charts."

they did not write or contact me.

  • oh and the link to my blog is correct here, may not have been above.

    a female faust,
Vanadium and nickel is what has been detected and measured in very high levels in at least two places along shores leeching in La. S/W side and lower tip. If there is has to be other places also. These are a few that is in oil.

a female faust, did you see this on the other story here ?? ...
there were sea gulls dead all over the road,” Darla says. “They weren’t hit by a car. They didn’t have oil on them. There was nothing wrong with them that you could see. I actually saw a couple of them flying and drop out of the sky.”

pensacola. saw one on I-10N today. no signs of trauma. no oil. most birds are gone, land and sea.

  • xdrfox

They are any a few here for months, new seagulls have come to beaches but river birds are gone ! I sat and talked with a couple back in Aug. who had been there much of the day and ask them as they sat on the river bank, " do you see any birds?" They looked around and said, " Yeah ! Where are all the birds." Eyes wide open in amazement !

I would like to point out that Mr Naman's lab is the only one finding anything.

An environmental reporter from the Huffington Post was not allowed to visit the lab. His actions made her doubt his findings. His lab is not accredited by anyone---Why?

Any reputable lab will be willing to have the same tests done to verify the results.

Personaly, I would believe any test he does and I would urge anyone I know to have any tests done by an accredited lab, elsewhere.

  • xdrfox

That is not true, many labs finding everything that is out there and posting in news with labs from AZ. Mass. Ga. If you do some searches under Labs find chemicals, or type the word oil, or corexit, or heavy metals, you will find a array of labs fining samples tainted with you search criteria ! The article you read is old, if you dig a bit you will find other then the reporters opinion of his actions, and what was really going on with Mr Naman. There are videos also. ps. I am not jumping on you, only typing to help enlighten you.
