Chemical oceanographer John Kessler from Texas A&M University returned from sampling the waters around the BP blow-out.

Kessler found methane levels about 100,000 times above normal.

“Near the spill site, researchers have found a massive die-off of pyrosomes,” reported the Palm Beach Post, which are “fed on by endangered sea turtles.”

“There were thousands of these guys dead on the surface, just a mass eradication of them,” said Kessler.
