Medical Doctor from Miami: We really have to take this seriously — Low dose radiation can increase cancer risk

Radiation suits from South Florida sent to help Japan, Miami Herald, March 16, 2011:

[Anesthesiologist and pain-management specialist Dr. Ronald] DeMeo said he sees the wrong message being sent about how the radiation leak isn’t too dangerous.

“I really think it’s the wrong message. We really have to take this seriously,” DeMeo said. “Even low dose radiation exposure can increase your risk of cancer. Some people act like it’s a food group and it’s harmless. It’s not.”

It's completely stupid to send everybody in a panic in America with fall-out from Fukushima.

It would really need a colossal amount emitted for a long time to become a health problem. And Japanese people would first die by the thousands...

Pollution from exhaust pipes and factories (not to speak of the Gulf) is much more dangerous.
