I guess if you plan to tell the truth about the BP oil disaster, you better have your ducks (swans?) in a row first! This guy is not the 1st BP truth-teller to loose his job.

  • Yes sam. It is not just "jobs" and "credibility" that BP wants to destroy -- for those who tell the truth, but their lives may be at stake as well.

Unfortunately, this doctor has harmed his credibility by his own actions. His previous legal problems no doubt made it easy for the authorities to force him to "retire". Even if he does publish his findings on the bird deaths, it will be easy for BP and the Feds to discredit him.

If someone is brave enough to tell the truth, just tell it. Don't give anyone a heads up that you are going to release information.

  • GOV Inc. strikes again! They'll do anything to keep the truth from being disclosed. I'll bet the 'administrative mistake' would have been cleared up if he hadn't told the truth about the sick swans. I hope the good doctor doesn't have a hot-tub.

‘We the People’ are not our government’s number one priority. The Gulf of Mexico was sprayed with a toxin than plainly says, “Do not contaminate surface water”.

There are many things when considered individually seem rational, but when these things are considered collectively, they give an entirely suspicious sensation. Please read and share the facts:

Dr Garderner is an amazing veterinarian-he was president of the fvma and both he and his father have dedicated his life to the swans. this is awful -what a shame

  • interesting...

Wow, a veterinarian clearly being persecuted over a clerical oversight?? That is total nonsense. He had NO criminal record or malevolent intent. As a professional myself, I can name several prominent members of my field who have forgotten to renew their licenses in a timely fashion, yet easily retain their jobs and professions. And the "dangerous" controlled substance here that set off the DEA was simply a bottle of veterinary painkiller!!...not ever used by drug dealers--hello??!!

  • interesting...

...like the DEA and "Miami Vice" have to focus on bird medicine violations when cocaine trafficking is happening there everyday...?.
