Fishing Industry in Gulf Still Worried About Levels of Toxins in the Water and the Impact on Marine Life, Democracy Now, August 23, 2010:
Ian Macdonald, oceanographer at Florida State University: I think if the Carolina Skiff operation that we've just heard described is what's going forward, I'll say that I've seen similar things offshore Louisiana, offshore Venice. ...
You know, the appropriate response would be to go out and try to skim it up and remove it from the ecosystem. ... So, essentially, what's been described here, dispersant is being used to sweep this stuff under the rug, instead of remove it from the house. And, you know, that is a matter of grave concern, if that's what's happening on a broad scale.

Mother Nature does not clean the mess we make to Her. She just moves it, lives with it. Mother Nature does not "think" just for us, humans, but for all creatures. And a lot of creatures die for our mistakes. Humans must be more responsible about what they do, more realistic about what we are doing to the world and environment, cause we are at the end making damage to ourselves.
And never try to hide a problem. What we do today will be the answers for tomorrow.
