Palm Beach County installs “curtain” to protect waterways from oil

County testing 'silt curtain' at Ibis Isle causeway in case oil, tar balls infiltrate Lake Worth Lagoon, Palm Beach Daily News, June 18, 2010:

County environmental officials have installed a 100-foot stretch of specialized plastic on the northeast side of the Ibis Isle causeway as a test in case oil from the Gulf of Mexico makes its way into the Lake Worth Lagoon.
