Paper: Cranes sprayed huge clouds of dispersant — Mist went up to 100 miles inland


We need answers about dispersants used on BP spill, The Advertiser (Lafayette), March 31, 2011:

... During the immediate time period following the explosion, BP was given permission to use aerosol dispersants on the oil slick that formed on the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Do you remember the terrible winds, the photos of the mighty cranes spraying huge clouds of misty dispersant onto the Gulf, and the spray that was formed?

Can you imagine the power of the engines that sprayed the dispersant onto the water and the oil slick?

I have heard that these conditions combined to form what can be compared to a hair spray bottle pumping that mist onto us for up to 100 miles inland. ...
