[Schumaker] made the original sighting of oil on Aug. 19. Her photographs from the air led to the newspaper’s visit to the well site by boat.
Schumaker returned to the well area on Thursday and Friday and made aerial photographs of hundreds of blobs of oil on the surface both days. She reported seeing one Coast Guard cutter in the area Thursday, though not near where she spotted the oil.
During the Friday flight, she guided a team of private researchers aboard a boat to the oil. [...]

Anyhow, how he was describing that "sea foam", I immediately thought of corexit.. I'm sorry, but I've seen live footage of storm surges and whatnot, but I've NEVER, EVER seen what that reporter was getting BLANKETED in. I wonder if it was all still there the next day? Did they get a photo of this "foam"? A sample of it, maybe? Shit, if I were reporting on Irene and was suddenly getting blasted by gobs and gobs of thick, soapy, disgusting goo, I'd want to know what the hell I was being soaked in!!!!

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! PROPER HAZMAT GEAR NEEDED! This was a 6"X4" Tar Log found on the beach. After melting it briefly with a torch, it maintained combustion on it's own for 1 HOUR!!! No VOC's in weathered oil? My ass! This was a small snippet of video. A real cameraman was there and as soon as he uploads the video of it burning, I will provide a link to his much better HD video showing the log from start to finish.

The well cannot hold pressure. This is very bad news. BP keeps hiding data and claiming that they just need a bit more testing. All they are doing is keeping share values up and profiting from stock swings until the truth comes out.. The media is complicit.

That's one of the reasons BP leased every availabe ROV worldwide, so they can control the equipment that is capable of revealing the true nature of the situation. This is one of several accidental feeds that slipped their oversight that suggests a compromised well casing and the eventual failure of any efforts made to control this disaster. If the situation is under control, why don't they release the pressure data and subsurface geological surveys to prove it?

It's great news to be able to trace the oil to a BP well head. It will be even greater when they get off their asses and start to do something. We been through this before, so don't take their crap anymore. Action, we want action. If you have a BP gas station near you; pull, push, drag, or tow you ole clunker to the gas pumps. Put on the Emergency Brake. Get out of the car. Lock it up tight as a drum and sit down. Don't let anyone do anything to your ole clunker, cause...(and this is what you say) "I've already called a tow truck and he'll be here soon." Shut the *&%$#@ Down!
If you own a BP station, you need to get prepared to deal with a different franchise. An American one!
