The oil spill is a potential problem for local power plants.
We got to thinking, there is no oil yet on our beaches. But if it came, there are a bunch of power plants on our coast - Crystal River, Big Bend, etc. Power plants use salt water intake, and oil and salt water do not mix. If the oil comes in, are there are contingency plans to protect the equipment?
