Scientists gathered in Collier County tonight giving us a look at the possible long-term impacts...
Many in Naples are now turning to world renowned scientists to find out whats in store for our beaches.
Dr. Roni Avissar with the University of Miami says: We are absolutely in that limbo area...What they do know is just because surface oil is not on our beaches doesn't mean we are in the clear...
"There is a large amount of oil, we don't exactly now how much of it, that has been released at different depths in the water"...
The doctor said some of that oil will be transported throughout the Gulf once it gets picked up in the currents...
"It's very possible that something will reach the East Coast and the West Coast of Florida."

I just checked the Fort Myers News Press and the Naples Daily News - No mention of this. I would think that they would consider this worth a couple of lines.
I truly think we are in 'end times' for humanity. Nothing Biblical or Mayan or whatever, just the begining of the end. All the attention to the Gulf now is highly suspect. A diversion. The loop current/gulf stream is in dire straits, hence the wild global weather. Didn't you see the hurricanes stay offshore? Google Zangari, oil spill, loop current and be very afraid.
Think you're right, premurdered. Another frightening thing to me is the complete apathy shown by so many people about this. I'm in the metro Atlanta area, so this is happening right in my backyard. But nearly everyone to whom I have spoken about it, referred to this site, etc., have the same barely interested response, as though these things are happening on the other side of the planet. I don't understand this at all.
